Toenail Fungus Prevention: How to Keep Your feet Dry

Fungal nail infection is caused by an overgrowth of fungus in your nail. Fungi tend to thrive humid area, so it is very important to keep your feet dry as much as possible. Here are some tips to optimize your feet hygiene.

  1. Avoid socks made by cotton.

    Cotton will hold moisture inside the sock and create humidity for your feet.

  2. Utilize a shoe dryer.

    It is a shoe rack that sends an air inside the shoes. You can also use it to dry your wet shoes due to rain or other reasons. If there is no dryer, try to place your shoes near a heat source or a wind, such as under the sun or by a fan.

  3. Use foot powder

    There is medicated foot powder that keeps your feet dry and reduces foot odors while wearing shoes. You can also substitute with baby powder

  4. Dry your feet completely after shower or swimming.

    Make sure to dry between your toes as well.
